A happy farmer got his new farm but was discouraged. The land was so wretched that he could neither grow fruits nor vegetables. Nothing thrived there but scrub Oaks and rattle snakes. Then he got an idea. He would turn his liability into an asset. He would make the most of his rattlesnakes. He started a rattlesnake farm and tourists were pouring in to see his farm. His business was thriving. He took the poison from these rattlesnakes and shipped them to laboratory to make anti-venom medicines. Rattle snake skin was sold at fancy prices to make woman’s shoes and handbags. This place later became Rattlesnake in Florida In honour of a man who turned poison lemon into a sweet lemonade.

Suppose we are so discouraged that we feel there is no hope of our ever being able to turn our lemons into lemonade, there are two reasons why we ought to try-
Reason 1. We may succeed
Reason 2. Even if we don’t succeed the mere attempt to turn our minus into a plus will cause us to look forward instead of backward. It will replace negative thoughts into positive thoughts. I will release creative energy and spur us to get so busy that we won’t have the time or inclination to mourn over what is past and forever gone.

When fate hands us a lemon, let’s try to make a lemonade.  Which minus of yours do you want to turn into a plus?
