Happy Teacher’s Day!

Which teacher was your best teacher?

Was it an angry teacher or a happy teacher?

If you are teacher today, which one would you want to be?

If there is one thing I would share to the teachers on teachers day – Please don’t judge the children and punish them. Please spread more happiness to the students and please don’t get angry at them, because they can remember how they felt for years and it brings their self worth to a toss!

I did my schooling in Chennai in a school very close to my house right from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. The Best Teacher I remember is my Drawing Mam because she used to smile all the time. She was happy, and I was also happy because it was only drawing that she was teaching and I wasn’t judged and given marks.

I had challenging experiences with my other subject teachers, where I would get scolded left and right. I still remember the scolding’s and the exact words they used to scold me in.

In my school we also had a separate section for all the students who failed. I was one of them and I ended up in the failures section. We had to walk late to the auditorium during our assembly period so that the whole school can see our faces and judge us and see us as failures!

It’s been 23 years since I passed out of school, and all the students in the failures sections are doing great. No one is a failure in their real life.

If there is one thing I would share to the teachers on teachers day – please don’t judge the children and punish them.

Please spread more happiness to the students. Please don’t get angry at the students and punish them, because they can remember how they felt for years and it brings their self worth to a toss!

Happy teachers day to all the amazing teachers out there!

Do let me know about your best teacher!

I would love to know your thoughts!

Very true! There are many such friends of ours in school who are Inspirational by now in their career and area of passion..Marks and consequence model of punishments go against the beauty of human brain’s elasticity, potential and emotional balance

    1. My English teacher in higher secondary was my best teacher.
    2. He was a happy teacher. He was a great teacher of our life. He was very understanding, he understood students in a better way. He was angry at few incidents because it was us who crossed the limit. He taught us both English and life in a better way. No one in my life could replace a place for him as a teacher, because he was never a teacher alone, he had been a all in one role for us. I miss him a lot on life and he is no more.
    3. I would be a happy teacher, because I hate anger in my life, because whenever I’m anger it affects myself and people around me.
